Hazel McBride is a Scottish author now living in The Netherlands. She has lived in many places around the world, including the Dominican Republic, the Canary Islands, and the South of France, and speaks three languages. She studied psychology at the University of Glasgow, which helps her write characters with real emotions and depth.
Her first book, A Fate Forged in Fire, is coming out in early 2025. It’s the start of an adult fantasy romance duology and will be published by Renegade Books in the UK and Dell in the US. The book has also been picked up by publishers in Germany and Italy.
Hazel is a bisexual author, and it’s important to her to include queer characters and elements of her Scottish background in her stories. Her writing blends fantasy, romance, and real-world identity in a powerful and personal way.
