RaeAnne Thayne

RaeAnne Thayne didn’t always see herself as a writer from the start. Growing up, she was a book lover who could almost always be found with a story in her hands. Unlike many of her friends, she even enjoyed creative writing assignments, though her dreams stretched beyond writing — she thought about becoming an actress, a teacher, or a lawyer.

Her path shifted unexpectedly thanks to a journalism elective her mother encouraged her to take in high school. From the very first day, RaeAnne felt she had found her true calling. After earning her journalism degree, she dove into working at a local newspaper, thriving on the variety and excitement of her job. One day she might interview a country music star; the next, she could be reporting on local motorcycle gangs or chatting with a celebrated scientist.

Even during her career as a reporter and later as an editor, RaeAnne’s mind was filled with stories, not just any stories, but heartfelt romances about real people navigating life’s ups and downs until they find lasting love. Though she didn’t initially know how to put those stories on paper, she was driven to try. Her first book sold in 1995, and since then, she’s published over 30 novels.

Today, RaeAnne writes full-time from the breathtaking northern Utah mountains, balancing her career with motherhood. Writing has become an essential part of her life, from the satisfying tap of the keyboard to the thrill when a story finally clicks into place.

She enjoys connecting with readers and welcomes messages at raeannethayne@gmail.com.
