L.J. Shepherd

L.J. Shepherd is a writer based in Cardiff, where she shares her home with her beloved rescue cat, Coral. A graduate of Christ Church, Oxford, she holds a degree in English Literature, which laid the foundation for both her legal and creative careers.

In 2017, Laura began practising as a barrister, working on both sides of the courtroom in complex jury trials at the Crown Court. Over time, her focus shifted toward human rights law, and she is now regularly instructed in high-profile public inquiries. Her work is driven by a commitment to justice and advocacy for those most in need of representation.
