Bart Yates
Bart Yates is an American novelist whose life has taken him across the heart of the country, from his birthplace in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to his upbringing in Lamoni, Iowa, and later to Boston, Massachusetts, where he pursued his education. These varied landscapes, both geographical and cultural, seem to echo in the depth and humanity of his storytelling. He now resides in Iowa City, Iowa, where he shares his home with a cat he describes as the world’s finest and most discerning companion.
Outside of writing, Bart is also a talented musician. He plays the clarinet, saxophone, and bass guitar, skills that no doubt contribute to the rhythm and emotional undercurrents found in his prose.
His most recent novel, The Very Long, Very Strange Life of Isaac Dahl, is a highly anticipated release set to hit bookstores on July 23, 2024.
